Day 28
I had shrimp with salsa last night. It was tomatoes, hot peppers, onion, and a few other peppers! It was spicy and VERY GOOD! I am planning on making Chicken tomorrow and baking it with salsa and extra tomato!! It should be very yummy!!!
Only 12 more days! I can't believe that its starting to fly by! I have a few meals already planned for when I hit maintenance phase!! :-)
Today I read some really good words from my devotional:
It’s easy to take for granted all the material and spiritual blessings that God has given us. That’s why we need to stop and remember that Scripture says the true owner of all we possess is God: “All that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all” (1 Chron. 29:11). Even our bodies do not belong to us: “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit . . . and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price” (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
As 1 Timothy 6:17 reminds us: “God . . . gives us richly all things to enjoy.” We are so abundantly blessed with good things! Let’s never take our Father for granted, but use wisely and gratefully all that He has given us.
I am blessed to have the Lord remind me often of Who I Belong to! If I remind myself each day that this body he has given me is a gift... then I will take MUCH better care!! I am not doing this program to be thin and sexy. This program is a LIFE change for me. Being healthy and fit for my kids & family is PRIORITY. I want to be the mom that can run on the playground and in the field playing soccer with them! I don't want my physical condition to cause me to miss out on anything. Treating my body as God has called us to is MORE important that anything else. The plus to the program is that I will look good and I will have confidence!
Everyday I am reminded of all these blessings! THANK YOU JESUS!!!
Off to bed I go to get some good sleep and wake to weight in and hope to see another GREAT #!!!

Day 27
Last night we went to a local Mexican Rest. & I ordered Shrimp (cooked in water) with sliced tomatoes on the side. My doc says that I can have fresh salsa (as long as it is all natural products with tom, peppers, and salt and pepper with NO sugar added) The place we went had great fresh salsa. So I got about 2 Tbls and added to my cooked shrimp!! It was VERY YUMMY!! I actually felt like I was eating something special. The restaurant that we went to for those who live in Ventura County was: Yolands!!!
Ryan and I went jeans shopping today. I walked into a REALLY awesome place to look for jeans! I picked up a pair of jeans size 34 waist and was gonna try on. The sales person said that those would be to big... and handed me a 30 waist. I almost busted up laughing!! But I went into the room and put them on... AND I WAS ABLE TO WALK OUT IN THEM!!! THEY FIT!!! I was so excited!! But the cost of the jeans were just over 100$ so I decided that i would wait for those new ones when I have met my goal!!! But I am very excited to know that I have a GOAL outfit waiting or me!!! I will live in my baggy pants for now!!! :-)

Day 26
But I was strong through all the sweet treats. The ONE things I REALLY miss is WINE! The wine smelled so yummy yesterday! But only 14 more days!!!
I also think that the support of my family has been a BIG key to my success. They are all
VERY encouraging and supportive. They think about me and my food choices when making lunch or dinner choices!!
Subway has saved me the last week. I have been able to run in and grab lettuce and chicken from them and eat with the family on the run!! It can be tricky to plan food for certain times!!
If you are doing this... just think its ONLY 40 days... that WAY less than pregnancy!! If us ladies can be prego for 9 months... we can do anything!! I have realized that if i put my mind to something... I CAN DO IT!! And if I keep telling myself that I am strong, I will succeed!!
My hubby bought me a bikini for Christmas. I gotta say... it's really cute!! He made me try it on. For the 1st time I actually thought, WOW I CAN PULL THIS OFF!! I still have work to do, but the time I will be able to wear it... I will LOOK GOOD in it!!
Well... I have to say that this program has done more for my body... its giving me a new found strength and determination.

Day 22
I realized that it had been about 4 days since I had a bowel movement... so I took the dreaded BioLax that the doc game me. They tasted horrible, however they didn't make me run to the toilet! It just did what she said it would do... soften me up!! So I felt MUCH better yesterday after a trip to the toilet!!! So... when the doc says to take the BioLax through out the program... TAKE IT!!!
My new favorite combination to eat is: Cooked Chicken, lettuce, and strawberries!! It's VERY tasty & the strawberries give it a dressing texture!! I will be eating this often!! :-)
Ive also found that breakfast places can make an Egg White & diced tomatoes omelet! Fills me up and actually tastes yummy!!!
Im am more than 1/2 way through the hard part!! Only 18 more days of Phase 2!! Yippee!!!
It was great buying a size 12 pant.. and I am really looking forward to buy and 8/10.
The past few days has been a big difference visually for me, because LOADS of people are starting comment on my weight loss!! YEAH!!!!
Feeling good & thankful that God has given me the strength to stick with it!! THANKS YOU JESUS!!!

But I dont wanna go back into the 190's so I will be strong!!!
Day 19
We have Carpenter family Christmas today! Which mean I wont be able to have Mamaw's famous cream cheese pie! Bummer!
However, today was spot on with food and portions! Im praying for 180's in the AM.
Day 17
No lose today. Bummer! I guess that's better than weight gain. We went to Sea World today. I found a chicken place inside that could give me chicken dry & then sliced tomatoes! It was nice! I took my apple with me in the park!
Went to Yard House for dinner and again... they were able to prep food for me :-)
Hoping for some wight lose tomorrow!!
Day 16
I found out today that SUBWAY can make me food! They have chicken breast that is grilled dry. I have them heat it up and place on lettuce. It's a great place to get a quick meal!!!
Went to the Charger football game! I took my food with us because they had a microwave in the suite! So I made dinner in steam bags!! Fish and broccoli!!
This is a fun filled week! We went to Knotts on Tuesday and game tonight and then Sea World on Friday!!! Let see how the eating goes!!

DAY 14
The only hard part right now is that I am getting sick of the food choices... I need to make sure that I am making things with a different twist! They gave me receipts and i need to try them out!! I was able to eat at eggs n things this weekend!! I ordered a egg white & tomato omelet and side of strawberries!! It was yummy and filling!!! I have noticed that my stomach is shrinking... I am feeling full after some meals, and having trouble finished some!!
I am really excited about being in the 180's... and I am pretty close! The last time I weighted the 180's was the first year of my marriage. I was about 179/180 towards the end of our first year!! Scary that I have not been able to get it off!! But I am sure looking forward to being healthy again and looking good!!
I had a hard day this past weekend on Sat. We had an SOC event and I had to bring my own lunch. It was GROSS... I made the chocolate shake that the doc gave me for a protein replacement. I made the drink and had to go into the bathroom to plug my nose and drink it!! it was nasty. However, i made one today for lunch and blended it with water, ice, and frozen strawberries! it was MUCH better!!

DAY 9
I had me weekly appointment with the doc today. She measured me... My waist measured 38.74 inches when I started 9 days ago... today it measured 35!!! YIPPEEEEEE!!! All my other measurements were smaller. I was very pumped when I left!!
My son had his 1st school Xmas program tonight & i had to make cookies to take! I actually made 2 dozen cookies without wanting to eat any because i was VERY excited about my progress!! This is a GREAT sign for me. I am having SELF-CONTROL!!!
The hunger hasn't been an issues... my problem has been trying to mix up the things I can eat. I was starting to think... my food is boring! So I went back to the guide she gave me & looked at recipes. I made the salad dressing/chicken marinade. Its' VERY TASTY!! It totally made a difference!! I started looking at all the ideas... Looking forward to my Strawberry chicken Salad tomorrow!! :-)
Well... If you are thinkning about his program, or know anyone who is thinking about this... ITS HARD HARD HARD work.... but totally worth it.
My official weight with the program is 196.5 pounds. i have lost 91/2 pounds and I'm on day 9!! THIS IS AMAZING!!! I wouldnt suggest this program if you aren't doing it with a medical professional. They monitor and keep you on track!!!

Day7
But...other than that, it was a pretty simple day!!
TODAY (day 7). Its about 11:00AM and I am starting to get hungry!! I will have to wait till 12:15 to eat!! This is the hard part!
Ill check in later or tomorrow!!

DAY 5
I had a family lunch in Santa Barbara today and was challenged again to order off a menu!! HARD... but VERY due-able!! The Chef at Dargan's was GREAT & made me what I ordered!!! I'm kinda surprised with how I only seem to get hungry just before a meal (like normal). I was expecting to be hungry ALL day!!
I didn't drink my hot tea in the AM because I was running out the door to church and I think that might have added to the crankiness! I am seeing why the STRICT routine is important!! I am finishing the night off with my strawberries!! I decided to heat them!! They taste like strawberry pie!! Not bad!!
I weighted in this AM at 198.5 pounds!! YIPPEE!! I have not been able to get under 199 in YEARS!! I am currently the lightest I have been in a very long time!! I actually enjoy getting on the scale to see what my body is doing!! Goal weight is getting closer every day!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!
See ya tomorrow!!

DAY 4
I am now waiting for my last 120 calories of the day to come out of the oven!! It's a Cinnamon Apple recipe that my nutritionist gave me!! They smell YUMMY!!!
I only got hungry one time today... around 4:00! I drank a bottle of water... and no more hunger!! So thankful that God is helping me with my fears!! Today in my devotional I read this: We can listen to the testimonies of other people and marvel at the work God is doing in their lives. We can hear uplifting music and great preaching and feel inspired to follow God more diligently. But soon after we walk out of church, we have trouble finding the time or making the effort to follow through.
James described such Christians as being like those who look in a mirror, see themselves, but do nothing to fix what is wrong (James 1:23-24). 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
They hear the Word, but it doesn’t lead to action. James says we need to do—not just hear.
When we move from the inspiration of simply “hearing” about the good being done by others to the perspiration of actually “doing” good works ourselves, the implanted Word of God (1:21) will bloom into a beautiful garden of spiritual fruit.
Every day the Bible seems to give me just what I need to get through the day!! Looking forward to all the new things He will teach me on the journey!!

DAY 3 (Part 2)
To my surprise I feel energized and pretty good!! Tomorrow's a NEW day and probably a WHOLE new field of challenges!!!
I am focused on the GOAL... :-)
DAY 3
I weighted in this AM at 205 pounds. This is considered my official starting weight!! I weighted in a few days ago & was 208...??? Hum... this is encouraging!!! Maybe the detox and hcG is starting to kick in!!!
Well... Ill be back later for a recap of the day!! But first here's my 'OUR DAILY BREAD' recap!!!
This was what I read this AM from a devotional and my Bible!! It was a great reminder of how I am unique to God and He cherishes ME!! This is great encouragement to take care of this body he has blessed me with! I want to give back to many... and I can't do this if I am unhealthy and feeling sluggish all the time! I want to be at the top of my game!!
Here's what I read...
"Displayed on the wall of my friends’ lake house is a collection of pictures. Each one of the photos is of a sunset, taken from their deck during various seasons. While each is strikingly beautiful—no two are identical. When I look at them, it reminds me of what another friend once called a sunset—“God’s beautiful signature at the end of a day.”
God writes His signature on each sunset and on each of His unique children as well. I never grow tired of discovering how every person I meet is so delightfully different. God is infinitely creative, and the variety in our personalities, senses of humor, abilities, and preferences in music and sports are all handcrafted by Him.
In the body of Christ, we see how a diversity of spiritual gifts still have a common bond and can work together for God’s purposes to bring Him glory. In 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, we read, “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.”
God’s signature that is so evident in nature is also present in His people. Let’s celebrate the differences that make each of His children unique."
Genesis 1:31 (New International Version, ©2010)31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!!

DAY ONE
I must say... I am VERY tired and sluggish! This is probably from eating so much crappy food! My body is feeling bloated and ready for a DETOX!! Friday will be the 1st real hard day! So... I guess I should enjoy eating all the 'bad' stuff!!!
This is a life changing process and I will need to re-organize many things in my life to be a success. I must start each day in the word of God (bible) and pray for him to give me the strength and dedication to do this process 100%!!
Today I read Proverbs 28: 25-26
"A greedy man stirs up dissension, but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper. He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe."
This was a perfect scripture for me start my journey! I know that God is in control and through his strength I will prosper in many ways!!
I hope to share all my achievements and struggles along the way!! I am not going to HIDE anything! I weighted in at 208 pounds yesterday, and I fall on the obese category. This is something that WILL change! I am consulting a Doctor and following her plan!
